The Noose Tightens

Today has
been like
scratching
a brick wall

I didn’t
see this
one coming
at all

Everything
I’ve done
has made me
feel worse

I cannot
shrug this
nightmarish
curse

It feels
ridiculously
melodramatic
to say

But I
really don’t
think there’s
another way

All that
appeals
to me now
is that rope

As finally
it seems I’ve
abandoned
all hope

    1. Thank you, you’re very kind. I’ll be OK. Just having a couple of down days I think. I’m well used to them. Being able to write down how I’m feeling, as I don’t always talk about it in real life, certainly helps. ๐Ÿ–ค

    1. And the voyage from black to grey starts with a smile at your witty response, so thank you for that! ๐Ÿ‘ You’re very kind to think of me. I’ll be OK I think. Just having a couple of down days but they are nothing new. Being able to write down how I’m feeling, as I don’t always talk about it in real life, certainly helps. ๐Ÿ–ค

    1. Thanks. It takes a lot of effort to stay some days…

That’s the joy of being anonymous, I guess. There are less than a handful of people who read my work ‘in real life’ so I’m free to fully express my thoughts / feelings here.

I’m so glad because, as you say, writing helps so much! ๐Ÿ–ค

      1. And I should say, Bluebell, thank you so much for all of your likes and comments today.
You taking the time to read my ramblings means a lot – let alone you giving such (undue) praise also.
I shall take inspiration from your kindness and from your own wonderful works too!
