Harsh Truth

It can
be a
hard
lesson
to learn

When
you’re
at the
point of
no return

That
nobody
actually
gives
a shit

Whether
you decide
to stay
or to
end it

  1. There is always someone who gives a shit I means really cares .just need to have patience and keep your eyes wide open to recognize them

  2. It’s sad when people get into that head-space, it’s the sickness that makes them blind to their own value, to themselves and other people. I don’t think I have ever seen a suicide (and sometimes even an attempted suicide) that wasn’t like setting a fire bomb off on all the friends and family of that person. It hits everyone.

    1. I totally agree. No one person is left unaffected by a suicide – no matter the circumstance.
It’s just a tricky space to be in when you can’t trust the accuracy of your thoughts and feelings.
I, for one, certainly find writing helps a great deal…🖤

  3. I read this two different ways and maybe neither is correct. One reading suggests that the narrator is ending something like a personal or professional relationship which the title aptly reflects. A second reading suggests–as the other commenters noted–a narrator with suicidal thoughts which then the title suggests the narrator’s own view of a harsh truth. Dark, but great writing either way.

    1. Inciteful as always…
Actually, either of these readings work – although I guess my original intention was the darker context. It wouldn’t be me otherwise…
Thank you for your kind words 🖤
