That Seussian setup and then the final result speak volumes. It may sound simple and feel simple but the subject matter (the person and their mindset) is far more complex than any surface level scar could show.
This one is autobiographical and I certainly intended for it to be multi – layered. Something I knew would not be lost on some readers – including your good self.
Saying that, I hadn’t thought of the Seussian set-up but you’re right – it’s definitely there.
