Bottom Of The Class

I
scroll
through
your words

And
realise
mine don’t
compare

For
you all
write so
beautifully

Whereas
I splurge
without
a care

    1. Aw, thanks my friend.

I’ve done a lot of catch up reading here over the last week or so and was feeling a bit inferior / sorry for myself when I scribbled this…

      I’m over it now… Kind of 😉🖤

  1. bah, the inner critic.. i feel ya.. i decided i wanted to write more like Bukowski last week, but some guy named Charles had already beaten me to it.. 😉 continue to allow what “you” do, to expand and develop.. it’s more than worthy in and of itself. Cheers!

    1. Isn’t that always the way?

You come up with a novel idea only to find someone with more talent got there first? 😉😂

Thank you for your kind words though. Some days I find it tougher than others to believe I deserve a place here, but I’ll get over it one day…

      Hopefully 😉🖤

    1. Was it that obvious? 😜
No, I was feeling a little bit sorry for myself as I was catching up with everyone’s work here at the weekend.
Sometimes I’m just in awe of the talent out there 👍🖤

  2. Honestly, no matter how one writes (terribly, beautifully, or anywhere in between) there’s still something we can take from it. I absolutely love your work, and the way you can convey something through just a few words is just perfection.😊

  3. You have a pretty specific style, so the skill is working within those limits, and you keep churning them out. I’m sure if I tried to do it, I’d not be able to keep going this long!

There’s definitely a niche for short stuff. So many times I just need short but thought-provoking/evocative things, because it’s too hard to read longer things at the time. And it’s like coming home coming to your blog— because you know what you’re gunna get! And it’s gunna be high value per word lol.

And for you this is just how your thoughts naturally come out. You can’t do better than that 😄.

Also another aspect to it is— your blog is a place for discussion! There’s a lot more to it than just the posts 😄. People come for you, for the banter, the wisdom, the relatability :).

I’ve had exactly the same thoughts as you a lot of times lol. I think it’s natural for self-critical people, and that’s a good thing for writers to be :D.

    1. Another thing is I sometimes doubt the evidence of the numbers of followers. But I do keep realising that it genuinely is hard to gain a lot of followers, if you’re getting them it’s not for nothing! And I don’t mean that’s the goal, but it’s a reassuring thing!

      1. I wouldn’t worry too much about the numbers… A healthy dose of my followers are spambots I’m sure.

It just makes the smaller amount of real people who enjoy, appreciate and engage even more meaningful 🖤

        1. Oh yeah I don’t :). I just meant having a large number is a good reassurance. And for me 100 was a lot, lol

    2. For once, maybe, I’m stuck for words on how to respond to this.

I can’t describe how it feels to to have even one person appreciate what I write.

This blog has been, and continues to be, so therapeutic in so many ways and you have played a big part of that Robin.

So thank you so much once again.

      🖤🖤🖤

      1. Stuck for words, incredible! I feel proud 😄.

I’m so glad your blog has been so therapeutic! I can only say the same about mine and your role in it too! 😄.

I’m so glad if I’ve helped in some way through the hilarious banter 😁. Time well spent!

Thank you to you too! And I so know what you mean about having people appreciate what you write :), that never gets old.
