Another Repeat Prescription

If
all
your
pills

Don’t
cure
my
ills

Then
why
bother
to
collect
them

If
it’s
a waste
of time

Both
yours
and
mine

Then
perhaps
I should
reject
them

  1. You know what I’ve found recently. The Sertraline helps me similarly to how Elvanse did for ADHD when I took that for some months, plus I read up how it worksโ€” it makes more serotonin available for your brain, rather than boosting it directly. Both Elvanse/Sertraline inhibit reuptake of the neurotransmitter that they work on. Whilst they both at first gave me a boost without the need to do anything, over time I figured out that they help the most when I do things to generate dopamine/serotonin (doing tasks I need/want to do, or exercise etc). Then the fact that they’re re-absorbed slower boosts the levels.

Also it’s really key for me not to get behind with taking Sertraline, even by a few hours, because withdrawal effects begin quickly and it can take the same amount of time again to get back to normal.

Anyway, I can only speak for myself and the medication I take and I’m definitely saying things you already know. And sometimes you just can’t do anything because you feel too bad or whatever, and I have no experience of clinical depression, but anyway, maybe it helps for some situations or helps someone else.
