I’ve heard that a common pain/difficulty with losing a loved one, is that others rarely mention them out of fear of saying something inappropriate, or out of not knowing what to say.

Yes. It’s like people fear they will remind you of them and somehow knock you off course… Completely unaware that you’re thinking of them 100% of the time anyway… π€π€
