    The title of your poem does not do justice to the beauty of it. I think it sells you short as a writer.
    Like I said though, that is just an old fart’s opinion!๐Ÿ™‚

      I think when I came up with this title I was just intrigued by how changing the emphasis and tone of words can change their meaning.

      Fuck Boys (apart from the modern term of a ‘fuck boy’ being someone who is more interested in casual sex as opposed to meaningful relationships) can be interpreted in a few different ways depending on the emphasis used.

      Fuck Boys – a poem written about heartbreak after a break up with a man using the definition above.

      Fuck Boys – a poem written about heartache after a painful break up where a future with any and all men is now off the table.

      Fuck Boys – a poem written about heartache after a painful break up with a man so, perhaps, next time the author may try a relationship with a woman instead.

      Fuck Boys – a poem written about heartache after a painful break up so the author is now going to embark on a string of casual encounters instead of a meaningful relationship and risk getting hurt again.

      Of course, I know what you mean about the stark contrast in tone between the title the poem – thank you for your kind comments on that by the way. But the devil in me can’t help but play around with juxtaposition! ๐Ÿ˜

      Plus, you know me and my love of profanity my friend – I just could resist!

      The fact that I’ve managed to mention the word ‘fuck’ seven times now tells you everything you need to know!!
