        It was more just that since it was an OS version behind, and it was a major update, I was going to clean install it to make it work as smoothly as possible. But actually (and as I suspected) this was also the first version which is no longer supported on my 2012 model laptop :P. Which is fine as I only want to do wordpress stuff on here :D. I was more amazed that the battery was fine, since I’ve barely used the laptop in the last year :|. But all good πŸ˜€

        This laptop is the 🐐!

          I thought you meant you were having to reinstall Microsoft Word due to crashing issues – hence the ‘joys’ of proprietary software! 😁

          Chuffed you’ve got your lappy up and running though – esp for WordPress! πŸ‘ Should have known you were an open source kinda guy! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜πŸ–€

          1. Mac isn’t open source 🀣. So actually it WAS proprietary software, but not in the way you thought and that wasn’t the issue πŸ˜†.

            But your comment about microsoft word demonstrates exactly why I wouldn’t/shouldn’t be seen dead using such a thing, nor windows, as well as a million other reasons 🀣.

            I HAVE been open source before, though. I may have to go back to it eventually if I need to get a new laptop as it would be a lot harder to justify/afford a mac now πŸ˜†. But they run so bloody smoothly πŸ˜„. Since I’ve finished spending now I better start a savings pot.

          I remember us messaging about music when I wrote about seeing The Cure in Glasgow and that was August 2019.

          So I reckon it must have been July/August time when we started following each other and the banterfest began!
