Real love isn’t all poetry
With hearts and fancy flowers
Sometimes it’s just about making do
And putting in the hours
"All my life's buried here, heap earth upon it"
Real love isn’t all poetry
With hearts and fancy flowers
Sometimes it’s just about making do
And putting in the hours
You learn your love and all her irritating quirks, she learns yours and you find each others perks.
Love is forever on good and bad, in hard times, dark and sad. Hit on finances? This all passes. Break social mold, and together grow old.

You nailed it! After the honeymoon & whirlwind romance comes the real test of love: living together, appreciating each other’s quirks & staying committed to one other. ❤

Exactly! It takes a lot of work to stay in love, but most poems just are about falling in love, or searching for it.

Love is when you’re with the person you’d rather be driven crazy by than to be sane with anyone else.

I said that to a friend a long time ago. Didn’t work for her, but did for me.

As Dorothy Parker said: You can lead a whore to culture but you can’t make her think, when asked to use the word Horticulture in a sentence.
