However I can’t help but feel this title was intended with a double meaningβ¦! A subtle head-nod to me!? Who you calling a Martian? π.
Indeed the classics of science-fiction are comprehensible by anyone :). Back in the days when you didn’t need to be an expert to write passable sci-fi!

The title is both a reference to Heinlein’s reason for naming his character the way he did, but also a nod to the person I stole the novel from. But if the shoe fits my friend… π€£π€£π€

Have you read the Rama series by Clarke?? They’re making a movie of that!! Directed by no less than Denis Villeneuve of Dune. It could be spectacular.

No, I’ve not read the Rama series. I’d say I could count the number of Sci-fi books I’ve read on one hand. It’s really not my genre to be fair – I don’t have the imagination (or the intelligence) for a lot of it. I just once knew someone who did π€π€
