Yeah, I know what you mean. There’s a line that, once crossed, can never be regained. Shame really as, you’d think, the qualities that make a good friend would also make for a good romantic partner. But it rarely works out that way in my experience 🖤

Agreed. I reckon romantic relationships always end when one party wants it to end, the other doesn’t. So it must be difficult to maintain a friendship after that.
The one person I still know, it was a mutual split; my only one. I’m still mates with herr 30y later. All the others have been one or the other. I never gave up on being friends but it never happened.
