The last time we met I was crazy
She said
But you’ll be pleased to know I’m better
We didn’t need to meet for this
He said
In fact I’d have preferred a letter
"All my life's buried here, heap earth upon it"
The last time we met I was crazy
She said
But you’ll be pleased to know I’m better
We didn’t need to meet for this
He said
In fact I’d have preferred a letter
So I’ve recorded some of my poems
And I don’t think they’re half bad
Who knew that in speaking
There’s so much fun to be had
But now I’m in a conundrum
As I need to make a choice
Do I stay safely anonymous
Or finally reveal my voice?
You should
talk more,
he said,
open up
about
how you
feelIt’s not
possible,
she said,
for it’s
not my
secret to
reveal
Do you want to hear the truth?
Good.
Because I don’t want to tell it.
There is so much
I want to tell you
So many things
I want to share
But my tears flow
all over again
When I realise
you’re not there
Stop asking me questions…
… When you are in no way prepared for the answers.
