Yeah. Was amazing to watch it live (well, live on TV). Not only for Alisson’s goal – but more for the emotion in his interview afterwards.
He did himself proud considering English is his second language.
I love it when moments in sport transcend the game being played. Same as with Leicester winning the FA Cup yesterday…
Plus, as a lifelong Wolves fan, it was great to see WBA lose this afternoon 😉🐺🤣🖤
As a grimsby Town supporter football is mostly a thing of pure misery for me.
I spent a lot of time working in pendeford so know a lot of your lot..success being measured by the failures of the baggies rather than their own achievements 🙂
Wow!! I’m totally not into football but that gave me shivers! I watched an interview with him afterwards, and it seems like it couldn’t have happened for a better person, too. That guy certainly transcends the stereotype of football players that I usually see. And what a remarkable goal, that he couldn’t explain. It reminds me of my rounders win I described once, lol.
I do recommend watching at least one sport to people :), it definitely brings something unique.
When I first saw that goal I was like “Wha…the ref’s in the way. Wait. Why is that guy wearing a different colour to the others?? *checks title again* OH my shit!!”
Allison?

yes, great moments in sport can do that — like a win in the Melbourne Cup: you’ve captured it well 🙂
