The Godless Ones

Some find it easier to deify

Rules bestowed from up high

And trust in his miraculous plan

But I feel it wiser

To be your own advisor

Than rely on the thoughts of a man

    1. To be fair I just used ‘man’ as it rhymed 😜

When it comes to all things God I disregarded all I was told and all I was taught years ago.

I would never take away a person’s right to believe in whatever works for them. But for me faith/religion/belief/spirituality play no part in my life.

      1. Sure charmer 😉

I love religion. Its fascinating. The opiate of the masses. Shows us what can be done with a few words and a little belief.

I dont you can escape religion. It’s in everything, whether we see it or not.
I’m actually writing my easter posts this week and having a great deal of trouble. I’m making a lot of cuts but I’m still going to piss off some Christians 😂💚

  1. The way you put this is very unique, especially when they often refer to God as “the man upstairs”. It made me think a lot about the roles of masculinity and femininity in regards to spirituality. They have very much shifted throughout history back and forth. And from what I’ve read, if I understood it correctly, “the man upstairs” really began as “the woman upstairs” (because after nature worship, women were then worshiped for their childbearing/life-giving abilities).
