A second coffin
Was wheeled out
Someone else
Had died
But then I saw
The robins land
So I stood
As my tears dried
"All my life's buried here, heap earth upon it"
A second coffin
Was wheeled out
Someone else
Had died
But then I saw
The robins land
So I stood
As my tears dried
This poetry at its best in the worst of times… take care out there.

taut and scary — but then the robins: nature is a beautiful salve; I love the juxtaposition of the terrible and beautiful

Thank you my friend.
Exactly what I was going for as that’s exactly what I felt when standing there 😔🖤

This poem feels like a weeping breath, soft and steady in time… Beautiful ❤

Thank you.
I don’t do this kind of softer and subtle kind of poem often so it’s nice to know I might have got it right this time 👍🖤
