I’m not sure you ever loved me
Or even liked me very much
Perhaps that’s the root
Of all this pain
The lack of human touch
"All my life's buried here, heap earth upon it"
I’m not sure you ever loved me
Or even liked me very much
Perhaps that’s the root
Of all this pain
The lack of human touch
What I might say if I heard this.
I loved you, and showed I would stay,
After years you want to touch, you kept pushing me away. 🤠🔥

The response is usually— distorting the truth/lying to put it all on me. Or saying those words despite never showing them, so they are meaningless and seemingly spoken by rote. Unfortunately! And no amount of self-criticism from myself ever changes that— indeed it crosses over into simply de-valuing myself and having low self-esteem, feeling like an imposter.

Then if you’re lucky you can gradually unlearn all of that negative self-image, through noticing that nobody else acts that way towards you 😆. In fact pretty much the opposite! Partly because you’re so used to looking at yourself first.

You know what my friend
You would be right
I only wish now
I could put that right
😔😁🖤

Ha! I’ve had exactly the same thoughts :). About my own parents and brother. Rough! There is… such a definite lack of human touch in my family. There’s no way around it.

Yup. I know how you feel my friend.
Just got to keep working on rewinding that negative self image 👍🖤

Human touch is so needed. Some of us get afraid of it at times though. I know I do ❤️
