You will never beat me,

So please don’t even try.

I could choose to hurt you,

To really make you cry.

But I’m the better person,

Of that I have no doubt.

So just carry on with your bullshit,

Because you’ll never drive me out.

      1. I know, I know…lol but that phrase “you will never beat me” instantly conjures up images of playing board games and competing with brothers. Like establishing an insurmountable pile of money in Game Of Life. Running through the permutations in your head and realising that you’re guaranteed to win. And just fucking gloating in it 😁. A few years ago I did that with Dominion. I kept losing for ages when first playing it, but then after enough practice I found some killer strategies which ruined a few games lol.

          Competitive much?! 😜 I can relate.
          Saying that, I remember I got far more enjoyment in putting the board together for The Game Of Life – all those bridges and buildings you had to slide into the board (not to mention the glorious middle spinner that you would inevitably break) – as opposed to actually playing the game! 😂🖤

          1. Ohh the set-up just added to the anticipation alright…!! I loved games like that 😄. It always felt like an adventure. I also loved the money, all that lovely green 😁😁😁. And the life insurances…beautiful beautiful stuff!

            We did break our spinner too 😅🤣. Though all it was was one of the pegs broke off in a hole lol. Too much excitement. I always took the opportunity to bet £20k, was a good risk because winning it was life-changing 😄.

            Oh and I practiced with the spinner during down-time so I could tactically spin it to what I wanted, or thereabouts and increase my odds 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😜

                      Speaking of brutal I remember Hangman was one of my favorites.

                      I don’t know if you’ll remember the one. It had a dial that you would turn to show your opponent a graphic of how close to, well, being hung they were for incorrect guesses. Pretty sure that would never be allowed nowadays!!

                    2. Hahaha!! Whaaaaaaaat I never knew it was a board game! I just thought it was something that you played on paper or a blackboard lol. I remember a teacher playing this with students on a blackboard!!!

                      Imagine that, yeah it wouldn’t work today at all. Too many kids are actually hanging themselves 😳😳😳.

                      What we need is a mouse-trap style formulation of hangman 😄🤣🤣. You construct an actual gallows 😆😆😆. Then a marble knocks the stool out. 🙄
